13th Annual. This year we will be presenting three plays in public readings on September 19th to 21stFollowing a single day of rehearsal, the plays will be presented as public readings followed by question/answer sessions with the playwrights and invited audience feedback, hosted by Artistic Director Liz Gilroy.
The Port Stanley Playwright’s Festival is part of the Port Stanley Festival Theatre’s established play development program, which has in the past produced premiere productions of: “Not in My Backyard” in 2013, “Bingo Ladies” in 2014, “Birds of a Feather” and “The Birds and the Bees” in 2016, “Five Alarm” in 2017, “Buying the Farm” in 2018, “Giving up the Ghost” in 2019, and productions of “Our House”, “The View From Here” in 2022, and "The Beaver Club" in 2023.
